Burnewang North is a historic property situated between Elmore and Rochester in Northern Victoria and consists of 2,500 acres of prime pasture, dryland Lucerne and irrigated crops.

In 2006, Cathy Hains purchased Burnewang North, Rochester with a view to establishing a fully commercial operation across all facets of farming including bloodstock, sheep and cattle livestock and fodder production (including lucerne and oaten hay).

We currently run a select band of 40 privately owned broodmares on this extensive property. Our horses are raised with the utmost attention to every aspect of their well being by a dedicated group.

Since commencing selling yearlings in 2009 at the Melbourne Premier and Sydney Easter Yearling sales, Burnewang North has been playing its part in setting the standards for breeding in Victoria with consistently good results for our well-bred and raised yearlings.
